Recently I discovered a new online game… though it exists two or three years by now, and two times was awarded as the best game of the year. I think I’ve been a little slow.

The game is a browser multi-player strategy and is called “My Lands”. The game attracts not only by the development and support of your own race (there are 4 races in the game, and especially nice one is the race of the dark elves who live underground surrounded by spiders, and Menzoberranzan, Drizzit Do’Urden and things come to mind), but also by the ingame currency. This currency can not only be spent for developments and advantages in the game but also exchanged for real money.

My Lands, I would say, is somewhere between the games Heroes and Civilization and it’s hard to say what game of the two prevails. Build city and make researches – almost like in the game of Sid Meier, but there’s also fantasy and a hero with army that contains different magic and mythic creatures.

Advantage of the My Lands game over other MMORTS is that it doesn’t require any downloads or installing, it can be played right from any browser of any computer and the only thing needed is the internet. After registration and race choice from Knights, Elves, Demons and Drow (the last are so much look like the Dark Elves described by Robert Salvatore) you plunge into the magic world of the game. Each race has its own features, bonuses and abilities, but all the races are good balanced so you can choose any.
